How Scale adds up
The first 80 artists are covered by the $39. After that you pay for what you watch, and the rate drops as the catalogue grows. Nothing to commit to, and it moves the month you add or remove an artist.
| Artists watched | Rate for that band | Monthly total |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 80 | Included | $39 at 80 artists |
| 81 to 1,000 | 50c each | $249 at 500 artists |
| 1,001 to 5,000 | 30c each | $1,699 at 5,000 artists |
| 5,001 and up | 20c each | $4,699 at 20,000 artists |
Which one?
Artist is for one person looking after their own work. You paste in the pages you have, and anything that turns up is yours to answer.
Label is for when it stops being one person's job. The manager who recognises the release, the person who decides what to do about it and the one who writes to the distributor are rarely the same person, so everybody gets their own way in, the whole roster waits in one queue instead of forty separate profiles, and you choose who is trusted to act on a case.
Scale is the same thing at a lower price. Past about thirty artists it costs less than Label and keeps getting cheaper as you add more, which is why most distributors and the larger labels sit here. Moving across changes nothing you can see: the same queue, the same people in it, the same letters going out.
More than 20,000 artists
You already know what you deliver, and roughly how much of it comes back wrong. What you probably don't have is somebody watching all of it every day. At this size a per-head rate stops being the right shape for that, so we work it out with you instead. Tell us how much of the catalogue you want covered and we'll come back with a number.
